As an ongoing effort, David McKee Architects has provided master planning services to the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks.

The Visitor's Center will be sited so that the primary buildings appear built into the earth as an integral part of the gardens. The entry, shown in this image will present itself as an opening within the landscape. The Conservatory will provide a figural counterpoint to the more reserved visitor center and education wing.

The courtyard between the Visitor's Center and the Education Building will act as a continuation of the gardens, blending the gardens with the architecture. The figural conservatory will be connected to the other buildings through a series of covered walkways.

The garden side of the Visitor's Center will have ample terraces for outdoor gathering and viewing of the new gardens. The Visitor's Center and Education Building will each open up to the landscape beyond with exposed wood beams and glass curtain wall.
